I know I've been totally MIA lately... student teaching has been a major time vacuum lately! But, now I'm only 2 weeks away from graduation, my responsibility at school is diminishing rapidly, and I am finding that I have extra time! (ssshhhh, I took a nap when I got home from school today! I haven't done that in a LONG time!) So now it's back to focusing on me! :) Which includes counting calories.
Today was just the start of what I hope to be yet another experiment in losing weight. I am trying to eat kindof normal foods that I would usually eat, but in a different way. Does this mean I am stopping off at McD's on the way home and eating a kid's meal instead of a value meal every day? No. (Not that it was every day anyways, but still....) I'm just changing things up a bit. For example, tonight at dinner instead of having a turkey burger with a bun, I had it without the bun. A small change, but major in terms of calories! I also had a sandwich wrap today instead of a normal sandwich. Again, lower in calories, but this time it was more food for less calories! Wahoo!
My plan is to start working out after school. This week I am kindof trying to relax a little bit, which I haven't done since I started student teaching. So I am giving myself a bit of a break until this weekend, when the workout will begin!
On a bit of a side-note, for those wondering, I have had a wonderful experience student teaching! We have our OAT (Ohio Achievement Test) next week on Monday and Wednesday, and we also have a field trip, so technically I'm only teaching 2 days next week, and I only teach Social Studies now. :) This will be a tough transition to have to say goodbye to my students, whom I have grown so close to! (Yes, all 60 of them!) But this is a good transition. I'm ready for my classroom! BRING IT ON! Now I just need for my body to be ready.
